What is the PERKUTAN technique?
It is a technique based on opening the hair channels in the balding area, and transplanting the follicles after treating them with a developed cylindrical needle, and thus it is distinguished from the rest of the methods that are based on the incision of the hair channels by a small knife. Therefore, it is not a device as interpreted by some (the Perkutan device), but rather a tool developed by doctors from other tools for opening holes, and it requires more effort compared to other hair transplant techniques and more skill by the specialist doctor because of the possibility of increasing the number of holes.
PERKUTAN TECHNOLOGY FEATURES
The difference from FUE hair transplantation and other techniques:
- The use of the needle to insert the follicles means that there are no incisions in the places of implantation, and therefore there will be no visible red scars after the completion of the operation.
- The recovery time will be less and less inconvenience to the patient
- The most important feature of the Perkutan technique is the possibility of controlling the degree and direction of hair exit.
- Obtaining a greater density, as it is possible to plant 45-50 bulbs per square centimeter, as for the rest of the methods; As a result of relying on cracks in the implantation process, it is not possible to plant more than 30 bulbs per square centimeter.
- Thus, the possibility of planting 6000 or more follicles and covering baldness completely if the person’s donor area allows taking this number
